In response to the devastation of the recent earthquakes in Japan and New Zealand an A-list bill of DJs have joined forces for a fundraising party on April 11th (8pm-1am). Spread out over two floors, Bass Relief will be held at Shoreditch venue XOYO and will be streamed live on DNBA TV.
As has been widely reported, the earthquake in New Zealand was the country’s deadliest natural disaster for 80 years. Japan has also suffered massive devastation as a result of a 9.0 magnitude earthquake with over 3,500 people reported dead and thousands more missing. Spokesperson Zula from Artificial Intelligence said, “As the DJ community, we felt compelled to do something positive for the victims of these disasters. We’re proud that so many people have come forward and are donating their time and resources for such a worthy cause. We’re determined to make this a night to remember.”
As you would expect, support has been coming from across the board and the event features some of the biggest names from the dance music community. Confirmed so far are Redlight, Fabio and Groove Rider, D Bridge, Bailey, Dillinja, Artificial Intelligence, 4 Hero + MC MG, Robert Owens, Hatcha, Plaid, (One of the most prolific electronic acts of the last 2 decade’s – WARP) Distance, Altered Natives, Alix Perez and Rockwell, S.P.Y, Julian Fairshare (Profound Fairshare Unity Soundsystem), SP MC, Stamina MC to name but a few…….. We have some exciting prizes for the charity raffle that will not disappoint and there will be numerous competitions as well as some of the hottest sets in London.
