Baobinga – Strickly Dubs Selection

Anybody who’s heard a recent Baobinga set will know that the man is on it. Switching seamlessly between differrent tempos and styles, his bass heavy riddims and ragga rudeness has attracted fans like Diplo, Mumdance and Drop The Lime to name a few. Small wonder then that he recently joined the forward-thinking, low frequency sinking, Trouble and Bass Crew.

This exclusive, and frankly ridiculously good, mix is the fruit of many long nights in the studio. Boasting a bag load of unreleased dubs, either under his own name, as one half of The Body Snatchers with Ginz, or under his dubstep alias of Skinnz, it features collaborations with the likes of MCs Spyda (Pendulum), Rubi Dan (The Heatwave) and Killa Benz (Charlie Sloth), an I.D. & Skinnz tune that features on the latest Tectonic Plates CD by DJ Pinch (which is being released on Pinch’s Earwax imprint) and Baobinga’s first foray into DnB with I.D.

There are also shout-outs from Rubi Dan and Frilla (The Body Snatchers) and vocals from Lil Flip and Crime Mob.

How Baobinga also manages to find time to run the fanatastic Bass Music Blog (which features the music-spotting talents of Heavyfeet and Reso amongst others) and rock club dancefloors, as he’ll be doing at Chew the Fat! this Friday 29th, is a mystery. We have enough trouble deciding whose turn it is to make tea.
