Joe and Will Ask are a London duo that have forged a distinctive niche in UK dance music of late with their cunningly spliced electro house. Both unashamed trance club veterans, a typical JAWA track is usually infectious, melodic, a bit emotional and a load of fun to boot. The success of previous releases ‘The Rusty Pig’ (2009) and ‘Rainbow Trout’ (2010) have put the lads in a number of famous record boxes and in turn earned them a place in the 21st century’s dance music canon. They also run their own East London promotion called ‘Vikings’, so keep an eyes peeled for the next event.
The ‘Voxx44/Cartooning’ EP single continues their onslaught on house music with finesse. A diverse release, their trance roots shine through on ‘Vox44’, while ‘Cartooning’ is a cheeky slice of electro house reminiscent of other contemporary acts doing their bit to make the UK dance scene a more vibrant place, such as T.E.E.D and Roska.
