These two are on fire at the moment. Their ruffneck, bashy vibes have breathed new life into urban breakbeat, and this is one of their most accomplished yet. Teaming up here with Manc MC collective Virus Syndicate, 'Jump Up Get Hype' is built around a swinging early junglist drum pattern shuffle, bouncy or sandpapered bassline stabs and a futurist Theremin wibble. When grime spitters JSD, Goldfinger and Nika D get to work, there's a real hardcore hip-hop chorus element to their rhymes ("Put your hands to the ceiling I'm feeling it") that makes this bustle with blistering energy. Short, superb and ripping up the rulebook. Ghetto.
