Live set from Nesono, winner of Lee Mortimer remix competition
Nesono (aka James Copeland) won our Lee Mortimer competition, meaning his remix of This is Real Shit will be finding its way onto Wearhouse Records.
Then we discovered this mix packed full of his distinctive, highly polished productions. Part bouncy tech-house, part electro, it’s packed with full of dancefloor energy and technical skill. But guess what he used to make?
Tracklist and James in his own words after the jump.
“All the tracks on there are originals of mine. As of now, most of the tracks are unreleased as it’s a very new project, but one or two should start coming out soon. It’s been difficult finding homes for all the tracks as they straddle a lot of different genres.
“I spent the last 7 years making psy-trance, but got sick of the high bpm hard-housey kinda vibe and needed to get back to stuff with more groove. I started this a year ago without any particular genre in mind and have let the music happen as naturally as I could. It’s been a long process to weed out all the abstract psy nonsense, but I think I`m almost where I want to be and things are really starting to pick up fast now.”
