Maribou State are a youthful duo comprising of Liam Ivory & Chris Davids. Having made a name for themselves previously as a live outfit, they are now firmly cementing themselves into the word of EDM with atmospheric music with dancefloor undertones.

Coming from a live background and attempting to shrug it off has certainly influenced their sound, certain songwriting traits such as melody and structure emerge constantly. The remnants of this have made for a vibrant sound, rich in strident, brooding atmospherics.

Olivia is a great track, with an almost haunting vibe to it that will sound great on your headphones or pumping out of a Function 1 rig, and the flip track ‘Bricks’ is a slightly more funky piece that comes with a slightly more rolling vibe.

Maribou State will be playing at Chew The Fat! at XOYO on the 10th February!
