Tapedeck? Haven't you heard that everyone is using CDJs these days?

Most people are using laptops which is cool, but we've developed our own technology using lasers, crystals and magnesium to play records.

What's Tapedeck's DJ style? Do each of you have a different musical preference?

Our DJ style? You know that bit in the film 'Kids' when they all smash the shit out of some dude with their skateboards? It's kind of like that.

You run your own label, Meal Deal. What kind of stuff is coming out on that and what's it like running an indie in the current music climate?

We've got everything from bassline records to psychedelic dancefloor stuff with complex edits to really simple lo-fi guitar stuff. Labels fail when they put out unexceptional music so we only put out music which is next level and pretty much sell out of everything. The last single we put out by A Place to Bury Strangers has been going for $150 dollars on eBay and it only came out in May.

You've done some high profile remixes of the likes of Kate Nash and your garage mash-up of Klaxons. Are there anymore on the way?

For me, remixes are pretty much boring the shit out of me so I haven't personally been interested in anything we've been offered, although some big ones have come our way recently.

What are you most looking forward to about playing at The End?

We grew up going to Trash which used to beat The End, so it will be cool to finally play at the venue we spent most of our teenage years in.

What are the top three tunes at the moment?

A1 Bassline - Girl Thing
Deerhunter - Oh, It's Such a Shame
Plies - Who Hotter Than Me
