HiJack – Kissy Sell Out Radio One mix

Chew the Fat! hit We Love… again this Sunday with HiJack headlining. His first time in Ibiza, he’s got a bag-full of re-edits after his recent Kissy Sell Out mix on Radio One. We’ve posted it again here, minus Kissy of course.

As someone who lives on the coast, you must be right at home in Ibiza. Have you played there before or been out as a clubber? Any special memories?

I wouldn’t say right at home – it’s bloody freezing on Bournemouth beach most of the year! This will be my first time in Ibiza so I’m staying out there for a few days with some mates to make sure I do it properly.

Space is one of the most iconic clubs on the island with the best line-up of guests. What does it mean to play there and have you done any special preparation for your set? You are up against 2ManyDJs!

I’m chuffed to be playing out there. The line-up is quality – I’ll be checking out Paul Woolford and Ben Watt when I’m not playing. I haven’t done any special preparation, but I’ve just finished some new tracks so looking forward to dropping them for the first time.

We’ve heard a tasty re-edit you did of DJ Falcon and your new remix of Brabe is a piece of cut-up disco. Is French house making a comeback?

For me it never went away! I’ve always been into the loopy disco vibes from Bangalter and co.

What else is new on the HiJack front?

After Ibiza I’m off to play in South Africa for the first time. On the music front, remixes of Magik Johnson, Adam Freeland, House of Stank, and The Loops of Fury are all coming soon, along with a new EP on Jack Union.
