    George Lenton – Jungle Whomp
MGMT – Weekend War (George Lenton Remix)

Big thanks to Ally from the ace, newly re-vampedĀ Noise Porn who dropped us this post on dubstep rising star, George Lenton.

“I have a sordid admission to make – I was tragically late jumping on the dubstep bandwagon. I think it’s because I happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and never managed to hear any decent dubstep on a big soundsystem, and my tinny laptop speakers don’t quite cut it! But one of the principal reasons for me getting into it was the constant waves of quality dubstep filling my inbox over at Noise Porn. Dubstep is undoubtedly gonna blow up in 2009 and we’re getting in more quality tunes and mixes than ever before.

One of the artists I’m really excited about dubstep-wise has to be George Lenton. He’s an unsigned UK producer who’s managed to get his dubstep tunes on the big old Radio One and has dabbled with a devilish remix of MGMT. Got a couple of tunes here to convince you of this man’s potential.

The first is the almighty Jungle Whomp, which wobbles its way around the subfreqencies like Jabba The Hut after a massive bowl of jelly and icecream. And second his outstanding re-work of Weekend Wars, which has to be one of the more original MGMT remixes we’ve heard.”
