A true corner stone of UK dance music, Zed Bias aka Maddslinky is back fresher than ever with ‘Heavy Water Riddim’, his latest cut out on Digital Soundboy on Sept. 24.
First heard on Fabriclive63, it’s an uncompromising blend of angular percussion, hypnotic bass and murky risers, all of which combine to make an out and out banger! Check it out below…
The release is rounded off by ‘Hurting Me’ on the flipside, which showcases some trademark Zed Bias sounds, with Zed putting his own twist on a distinctive 2 step house jam.
Meanwhile, Zed’s also just released one of the most memorable tracks of recent months on Julio Bashmore’sBroadwalk Records, under his alter ego Maddslinky. The second release on Broadwalk, following Bashmore’s huge hit ‘Au Seve’, the track is entitled ‘Compuphonic’, and showcases Zed Bias’ continued versatility as a producer, turning in a dark slice of rough tech-house, filled with energetic synth stabs and a pulsing beat. On the other side is ‘Compufonique Part Deux’, which is not exactly a complete overhaul, but more of a development of the original into a more melodic housey track. Check them both out below…
