The ridiculously elusive Daft Punk crept out from the woodwork recently to compile an exclusive soundtrack for Hedi Slimane’s debut Yves Saint Laurent show. Since their last studio album Human After All back in 2007 the duo’s only output was their brilliantly adventurous soundtrack to the somewhat disappointing Tron: Legacy, so news of a new Daft Punk project, as fleeting as it may be, will no doubt be very well received. With a running time of 15 minutes their mix is a looping, hypnotic blend of edits from late blues artist Junior Kimbrough, and certainly whets the appetite for their hugely anticipated new album, supposedly set to drop next year.
