Series 2 of Flight of the Conchords started on BBC 4 last week but since a) I was on a silent meditation retreat in the countryside with no phone/TV/books etc. and b) I downloaded it all to watch a while back anyway, it passed without mention.

Now I’m back and fully enlightened I had to give episode two, on tonight at 10.30pm, a proper plug.

Having exhausted all the songs from their live show during the first HBO season, this is the difficult second series but I’m happy to say it’s still as dry and funny as ever.

This clip illustrates the perennial problem faced by club promoters… Given that the song sounds very French house, it’s also fittingly directed by surealist film maker Michel Gondry who directed Daft Punk’s video to ‘Around the World‘.
