Aquasky- DJ Mix for June including brand new tracks

After being locked in the studio steadily working for the last twelve months (and only occasionally cocking around in their local chippie), Aquasky are back and ready to unleash their new sound on the world.

Having always moved with the musical times, evolving from drum and bass to breaks over the course of their ‘ardcore influenced career, the new tracks we’ve heard draw on the various strands of bass music currently rocking clubland. We call it bit-garagey-bit-breaky-bit-ravey-raggaish-bass-step and are currently working on the video to the bit-garagey-bit-breaky-bit-ravey-raggaish-bass-step skank.

As a preview they’re sent us this DJ mix. As well as plenty of new Aquasky tracks, boasting all their trademark energy and collaborations with the likes of Atlanta rappers Sporty-O and Goldmouf, it has some amazing new releases from Jonny L (who wrote Hurt Me, one of my favourite old school tunes) and the fantastic Tonka, who was on Fatboy Slim’s Big Beat Boutique album years ago and has just signed some heavy new tracks to his label, Southern Fried.

We will also have an exclusive Aquasky collaboration with Li’ll Bo Tweek to post soon, plus your chance to get a remix of it posted on the Fat! club blog, so more news to follow…
