The Fat! Club evolved from having somewhere to go where all things were indeed FAT!

A record label (Fat! Records), club nights (Chew The Fat!) and a dj agency (TFA Bookings)… Your very own Fat! pit stop.

The Chew the Fat! club night, after 11 years of partying, is still the focal point and the face of all that is Fat!  But with the arrival of  The Fat! Club blog we have evolved into much more…

Providing upfront electronic music on a monthly basis gives us a good platform to showcase all the artists, DJs, parties & music that we love (and we’re betting you will too).

We are always looking for the chance to introduce something new & exciting, whether that be in a club or on this blog. If you have something inspiring, daring or just downright dancefloor, the chances are we will want to feature it.

About Chew The Fat!

Founder Paul ‘Trouble’ Arnold has been championing fresh UK club music at his events for over a decade. Chew The Fat! originated from early south London drum n bass parties, but quickly found a weekly residency at the Bug Bar in Brixton, becoming the first to push emerging Breaks DJs such as Adam Freeland, Plump DJs, Tayo, Freq Nasty, Meat Katie & Krafty Kuts.

With such a well-respected night & loyal following, Paul soon found a new home for Chew The Fat! at prestigious London clubbing venue, ‘The End’. Over 10 years of showcasing burgeoning DJ talent has now firmly placed Chew The Fat! at the epicentre of new musical territory.

This long-running commitment to new sounds has led to Chew The Fat! arenas at several UK & European festivals, monthly events across the globe & two consecutive summer residencies at We Love…Space in Ibiza.

Now, more than ever, the club music scene is bursting with up-front beats and creative minds. With a new year bringing a new venue at Cable, London Bridge, a third season at We Love…Space in Ibiza & (the Kissy Sell Out endorsed) Foamo as the new resident, Paul Arnold is still as passionate as ever about showcasing fresh talent to dance-floors across the globe.

It’s no wonder that Time Out included Chew the Fat! in their Top Five Parties to watch for 2009!

Club supports legal download sales by offering buy links for the releases reviewed.  We encourage readers to support their music scene by buying legal Mp3 releases (and also CDs where available).  Any downloadable audio files on this blog are offered in consultation with the rights holders and with their full consent. If you are the RIAA or the IFPI and believe there might be a copyright issue please contact us before reporting the website.  We will happily remove any disputed download links on request.
